Hello everyone,
Welcome to my guide called “Quality Commenting 101”! As implied in the title, this post will have everything you need to create a high-quality comment, including comment starters and more. Let’s get started!
Part 1: How to Leave a Comment
You can’t create a high-quality comment without knowing how to leave one! Leaving comments on posts are easy.
- Find the post you want to comment on. Some blog themes will have a link on the bottom to comment. Some blog themes will have links on the side. The blog that I am commenting on has a speech bubble icon but just search for the word “comment”. (Below: HMSTani’s Blog)
- Once you are in, time to write a quality comment!
Part 2: Comment Template
Your comments should be formatted like a letter. Here’s a simple template that I use most of the time when I write comments.
Dear/Hello/Good Morning <Blog Name>,
Comment Starter (Wow/Cool/etc.) (a few sentences about the post)
(A connection)
Please comment on my newest blog post! It’s about <insert topic here>! <Insert link with HTML or plain link>
Bye/From/Sincerely,
Your name
Fill out this template and you’ll have a great, high-quality comment!
Part 3: Comment Examples/Comment Do’s and Don’ts
Comment Example 1:
Dear Thomas,
Wow! I didn’t know that elephants can’t jump! (Comment starter) I think it’s really sad though. (Connection. As long as it makes sense, you can arrange the parts any way you want.) I also heard that elephants can’t go more than 15 mph. I hope you post more animal fun facts! (Sentences about the post)
Please comment on my newest blog post about being Eco-Friendly! Here’s the link: Emilialovesnature.edublogs.org (Link)
Bye, (Closing
Emilia
Comment Example 2:
Dear Maya,
Cool! I didn’t know that the new edition of 8-Bit Cats came out! (Comment starter) I can’t wait to play it! (Connection) My favorite character in 8-Bit Cats is Coco Cat (maybe because it’s my real name, who knows?!), but I also like Mega Meow as well. Did you find all the cat kibble bags in the last 8-Bit Cats? I’m missing one more! (Sentences about post)
I hope you comment on my newest post! It’s about 8-Bit Cats, just like you! Check it out here: “Athousandflyingpotatoes.edublogs.org” (Link)
See you soon! (Closing)

Dear Lisa,
Oh no! I didn’t know that we make so much trash each day. I really hope more people read this post and figure out how much trash we really make! I wonder if we make even more trash that we don’t even know about.

Dear Mimi,
After reading your post, I realized how hard lucid dreaming is. I tried it last night, and I think it will take a lot of practice. It’s really amazing to me how you can induce a lucid dream that easily! When I get a lucid dream, I think the first thing I’ll do is fly or visit Paris! Thank you for this super insightful post!
I think you’ll have a very interesting read on my post! It’s about how much water we use. “Butterflybumblebee.edublogs.org”
Goodbye,
Lisa
Answer:
Number 2! I hope this was very obvious. Number 1 was very redundant and plain. Answer 2 had a connection and many other sentences about the post.
Part 4: Conclusion

I commented on their “Alphabet blog” post. I commented on it because it probably took them a really long time and there were a lot of things I also like in there too!
Hello!
